Cheap, but works great. The corded one never loses power like the battery operated versions do. I managed to shave my unsightly chin hair into submission, then both my legs and armpits and it didn't even get warm. Took 10 minutes. Make sure you use a circular motion and press firmly against the skin for a close shave. 10/10 highly recommended
Have been using your shivers for a long time. Always extremely satisfied. When I needed a new shave you products were my ONLY choice.Best shaver yet. This is Why I recommend this to Everyone and why I rated it like I did
I've been shaving with a Norelco shaver for about 60 years, using many models. This model 1100 is as good as any I've used. It trains itself just like the instructions say. When the training wheels come off I get a quick, close, comfortable shave.
Worst Feature: the unruly cord. Needs a coiled cord.
Other Philips Norelco shavers I have had in the past were reliable. Eventually the blades became dull and it was not worth buying new blades versus the cost of a new shaver. So, good experience with the brand led me to buying this model. It provides a close shave and is a good product at the price point.
Had to switch from from blade shaving to electric due to cancer problems and getting cuts. The Philips shaver did exactly what I expected provided a good shave with the safety I needed. Good value and product.
I really enjoy using my new shaver. It's lightweight, shaves close, doesn't pull. My last Norelco lasted about 20 years and was still cutting when it started overheating. They're still made in the Netherlands!
This shaver works great and is easy to use. I don't actually rinse it with water to clean. I prefer to use an electronics spray duster to blow the shavings into the trash can. I saw some reviews where they complained about the straight cord and preferred the old coiled cord. I actually liked the straight cord, because it was longer and didn't unplug while shaving. My only minor complaint was that they did away with the sideburn cutter. All and all, it is a great electric shaver for the money.
This little razor is amazing and yes I am female. I have a problem with facial hair which I have fought with everything available. This includes other devices such as epilators (which hurt) and creams (which burn and even blister). Phillips Norelco solved the problem with this baby. It is easy to use, very comfortable in the hand (and my hands are very small), glides smoothly and comfortably, and all with no embarrassing nicks for the world to see. It has proven to be one of the best purchases I have made in years and I could not be more pleased with its' performance. Also it is very reasonably priced.
I don’t have a convenient place to keep a rechargeable shaver. A corded unit is my best option. I’m very satisfied. One small improvement would be for the power cord to be like a “desktop phone” type, one that coils up.
After going through three rechargeable Phillips Norelco razors and not able to get parts or replacement batteries, I went back to the corded model. It is a great razor with a constant cutting speed. The long power cord allows for full freedom of movement while shaving. It provides a great shave. The clean up is easy as it is washable.
The previous shaver was 4 years old and the original blades were still in it. Since new blades were as much as a new shaver my Wife bought another one for me for Christmas. I use it every couple of days to shave my head since the Wife loves me having a bald head.
After years of using Norelco triple header shavers, my most recent was not charging well. It was several years old. I received a non-Norelco dual oscillating blade type electric razor 2016 Xmas as a gift. It gives a very close shave. However, if I do not shave for 2 or 3 days or I miss cutting a few hairs, the competitor's shaver has a hard time picking up longer hairs. Hence, I went back to this basic Norelco triple head razor. I use the new Norelco as a "finish" shave to pickup and cut any longer hairs. Kind of a weird reason to have a 2nd shaver, but it works.
I have been using this particular shaver for only one week and it is everything other reviewers have stated. I have been a Norelco shaver user for over 40 years and really like their product design. I purchased this particular model for an inexpensive travel shaver that does not depend upon batteries to use.
this is my second Norelco corded razor the first finally went out after 40 years of use it run on either 110 volt US or 220 European current . Newer model 1100 gives me an excellent shave just hope it will last not for 40 years but for the remainder of my life I am 77 so I do not think I'll last that long.
I have had foil shavers for decades and they cut very close; however, this Norelco cuts nearly as well and is better in other ways. I can wait a day or two and it cuts better than my foil. It is easy to clean, is quiet, doesn't vibrate, and I like the fact it is made in the Netherlands. I like the straight cord as it doesn't pull like the old coil cords. Philipis offered me a 20% discount for my birthday, so I bought a second one and an extra set of cutters. I love the fact that this is a true electric---no batteries, no charging, no waiting, no dying out, and no throwing the shaver out when the battery fails. Thanks Philips.
I once used a Norelco when I was in college. Used it every day and it worked fine. For some reason that I do not recall I switched to a safety razor. Used one for decades. But I got tired of two things. 1. spending so much money to buy new blades and 2. taking so long to actually shave. I did not want a shaver with batteries. Just something else to go wrong. This one is cord attached, but it is patterned on their battery shavers, which makes it only a 4 star. The attachment converts 120 to whatever DC current the battery powered shaver uses. I can now shave it about 1/3 the time it used to take me. The safety razor would not cut the beard on my throat. It would not. This shaver does that. For some odd reason I can not get as close a shave on my left cheek as on my right. That seems totally bizaar to me but I am very pleased with it. I do not know why it took me so long to switch back. Stupid I guess.
